IDA announces that applications for the 2012 Channabasappa Memorial Scholarship will be accepted beginning April 1. Through this program, IDA awards scholarship grants of up to 10,000 USD per calendar year to one or more graduate students studying engineering or science in preparation for a career in desalination or water technologies.
The application period closes on June 1st, and the recipient(s) will be announced in August.
Building on the foundation of its work for over a quarter of a century, the International Desalination Association (IDA) is pleased and honored to announce its exciting new enterprise, The IDA Academy. The academy will feature a multi-disciplinary course curriculum around the world in flexible formats with the first set of courses to be offered at this year's Singapore International Water Week.

IDA and American Water Works Association (AWWA) are co-publishers of the IDA Journal on Desalination and Water Reuse. Launched at the 2009 World Congress in Dubai, this publication includes peer-reviewed articles on the technical and scientific aspects of desalination.
The Journal is published quarterly and made available in both print and electronic formats.
IDA is pleased to announce the release of the 2011-2012 Desalination Yearbook. This annual publication is the essential desalination reference for plant owners, developers and contractors.
