Randy Truby is Chairman Global Marketing and Sales of TORAY Membranes and has been a professional in the membrane desalination industry since 1969. Mr. Truby has been involved in the development, application and manufacture of reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration membranes for over 41 years. He was a limited partner and Vice President of Aqua Media Ltd., and has served as President and CEO of Fluid Systems Corporation, and Vice President of Hydranautics/Nitto during his career.
Mr. Truby has played a major role in some of the largest membrane projects in the world. This includes the 54 MGD BWRO desalter in Yuma Arizona and the softening installations in both Plantation Florida (18 MGD) and Palm Beach County Florida (30MGD). He was responsible for manufacturing the membranes for the 42.5 MGD SWRO system at Fujairah, UAE, and the 40 MGD NF plant at Boca Raton Florida.
Randy Truby holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from San Diego State University where he graduated with Honors. Mr. Truby is past President of the International Desalination Association (IDA) and is currently serving as Treasurer. He is also on the Board of Directors of the American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA). Mr. Truby is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Affordable Desalination Collaboration (ADC). He has published over 45 technical papers on reverse osmosis, desalination and membrane technology.
