Mr. Cherif holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
His career started at Siemens in Beirut in 1983; thereafter he relocated to Riyadh to work with a Siemens affiliate. In 1987 he joined Pharmacia-LKB in the analytical & testing equipment industry in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In 1991 Saher moved to Riyadh as a Country Manager for Kodak for KSA. In 2003, he was appointed General Manager for Philips in Saudi Arabia after which he joined General Electric (GE) as a Board Member & Zone Manager in 2006 and before joining Invensys Operations Management in 2009, Saher worked as the General Manager for Al–Khaldiya group in Kuwait, a leading supplier of high technology systems & products.
Mr. Saher Cherif joined the Future Pipe Industries Group in May 2011 as President & Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this capacity he is responsible for FPI’s group-wide operations.
Prior to joining Future Pipe Industries, Mr. Cherif was the President for the Middle East & North Africa at Invensys Operations Management, responsible for all Invensys activities within the region including P&L, operations management, sales & marketing, business development, training & development, business relationship management, systems staging centers, engineering and delivery & service.
