Mr. Altmann has gained his experience by working on projects on four continents for top ranking companies including Bechtel, Fluor, Babcock Borsig Power and Preussag in technical as well as managerial positions. Before joining ILF Mr. Altmann was the Vice President of Bechtel International located in the UK and USA. He joined ILF as EVP in 2000 and launched the Power & Desalination business line. Since then he secured and managed consulting services for approx. 6,000 MW power generation and 900 MIGD desalination capacity.
Mr. Altmann is a Director of the International Desalination Association and the European Desalination Society and a member of WSTA, AEDyR and DME. Mr. Altmann also serves on the Research Advisory Council (RAC) of the Middle East Desalination Research Centre (MEDRC) and in the PowerGen Middle East Conference Committee. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and 2 patents.
