Dr. Masaru Kurihara is Senior Director of Toray Industries, Inc. He graduated from Gunma University, Technical Department, Applied Chemistry in 1963 and completed his Doctor Dissertation at the University of Tokyo in 1970. In 1963 he joined Toray Industries, Inc. working in Polymers Research at Basic Research Laboratory and since then has held several positions in research and water treatment technology within the company. Dr. Kurihara is a member of numerous organizations, including the American Chemical Society, Japan Chemical Society, Japan Polymers Society and Japan Membrane Society and is Vice President of the Japanese Desalination Association. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his work.
