Prior to this, Freddy was Deputy Chief Executive of SPRING Singapore. He has more than 30 years experience in productivity, competitiveness, standardization, total quality and business excellence.

Freddy chairs the Singapore Quality Award for Business Excellence and is a Council Member of the Singapore Water Association. He is also a member of the Temasek Polytechnic Board of Governors.

For his productivity contributions, Freddy was awarded the Asian Productivity Organisation Regional Award in 1999 and conferred a Fellow by the World Academy of Productivity Science in 2001 for contributions to the “improvement of quality, quality of work life and quality of life”.
